full time Restaurant Manager

at Winesense in Cape Town

This position requires a well presented and skilled communicator (English and Afrikaans) with a distinct flair for the hospitality trade, excellent interpersonal relations, as well as the ability to work in an organised and logical manner under pressure. Attention to detail is a must.

The candidate envisaged for this position needs to boast proven leadership qualities, loyalty and a dedicated work ethic. A relevant post-school qualification and experience gained in a similar position within the hospitality and wine industry, are further prerequiesites.

Furthermore you will be required to work shifts and weekends. Own transport is a must.

The appointees main day to day duties and activities will include the following:

Management of all front and back of house staff
Opening and closing of the restaurant
Ensuring that the quality of service and food are that of fine dining standards
Dealing with all related administration
Stock take and quality control
Creating and updating of all menus to meet seasonal changes and market trends
Corresponding constantly with Head Office and reporting daily activities and changes/ideas that could possibly be implemented on store level
The planning and execution of functions and events
