Distribution Manager
at Persona Staff in Cape Town
Knowledge:
Post-matric qualification in transport or equivalent training in transport or logistics.
Previous experience or knowledge of distribution/ logistic processes & procedures; exposure to pick & pack
distribution environment (preferred).
Financial management and budget control training and experience.
Very good computer skills (MS Office, Outlook, LMS).
Valid driver’s license.
Skills:
7 to 10 years experience in distribution/ retail; transport/ logistics
2-3 years previous exposure to middle/ senior management
Good knowledge of Excel; Outlook;
Previous exposure to budget management & cost calculations
Good communication and negotiations skills - oral and written
Good interpersonal and conflict handling skills
Organizing, coordinating and planning skills
Comfortable to take business risks
Ability to evaluate and improve team performance
Ability to identify and solve problems within strict time constraints
Willingness to work after hours
Ability to stay calm & focused within a pressurized working environment.
Key Outputs:
Manage & plan Service Level Agreements of major customers
Constantly monitor & evaluate external service providers
Do research with regard to market improvements or changes
Mange, plan & control the distribution function of the organization
Manage customer service satisfaction as well as expectations
Manage, monitor and develop teams
Process weekly & monthly statistical reports as well as budget feedback
Ensure that Service Level Agreements (SLA) are being met to uphold excellent customer service
Maintain a communication.
