Senior Internal Auditor
at Persona Staff in Cape Town
Requirements:
Completed tertiary degree in Internal Auditing.
Completed CIA qualification.
At least five years proven experience in a risk-based Internal Audit environment, of which at least three must have been in a senior / management position.
Experience working in a FMCG or Manufacturing environment (must have).
Application of Internal Auditing procedures, principles and standards.
Ability to develop audit programs.
Experience in using CAATS, ACL / IDEA and other audit software applications.
Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors.
Responsibilities:
Perform risk-based audits including identification of key business risks, reviewing and analyzing evidence, and understanding and documenting systems, procedures and business processes.
Plan and conduct audits in compliance with approved audit standards and procedures that are in compliance with the Standards for Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
Plan, execute and report on audits according to an approved Audit Plan.
Prepare and execute audit programs for planned audit engagements.
Examine, evaluate and document audit evidence during fieldwork to support audit results.
Performance of testing and fieldwork including calculations, observations, confirmations, vouching, tracing, scrutinizing, enquiry, etc.
Identification of shortcomings/deviations from policies and procedures.
Identification and assessment of internal controls.
Identify and develop constructive audit findings based on evaluations made from audit fieldwork.
Preparation of appropriate audit working papers and filing it with evidence in audit working paper file according to a prescribed format.
Drafting of audit reports with findings, root causes and value adding recommendations based on a prescribed format.
Evaluation and monitoring of corrective action implemented by the client.
Conduct follow-up audits and monitor the implementation and adherence to recommendations made during previous audits.
Managing and training of other internal audit staff.
