full time Fitter & Turner

at Persona Staff in Cape Town

Well known company has an open position for an Fitter and Turner to become a part of their busy environment.

Requirements:
High performance competencies.
Textile working experience advantageous.
Machinery maintained in optimum working order.
Ensure correct time keeping as prescribed.
Log book / record keeping to be accurately maintained.
Knowledge of ISO 9000.
No colour blindness.
Safe working processes.
Planning / organisational skills.
Housekeeping.
First aid.

Responsibilities:
Maintenance as per job cards remits.
Maintenance of textile machinery in the plant.
Welding, fitting and turning as and when required.
Maintaining housekeeping & safety standards.
Adherence to company policies and procedures.
Fault finding.
Production and operational skills.
Ensure supply of serives (steam, water pipes, compresses air) to departments for production purposes.
Ensure availability of service, during and outside normal working hours.
