full time Automotive Service Manager

Your previous Service Management experience within the Automotive Industry is required for the position of Service Manager at our clients Independent Dealership in the South of Cape Town.

Ensuring Efficient and Profitable Operation as well as Dedication to Customer Service and Management of relevant departments to ensure consistent high levels of Customer service and retention will be the CORE focus of this role.

Minimum requirements -

Senior Certificate or Matric
Technical or Engineering Qualification
A minimum of at least 2 years within a Service Management role
Have a strong understanding and general knowledge of vehicles mechanical operations
Possess strong general knowledge of the automotive industry with regards to service processes, technology, vehicle legislation, consumer legislation and trade practises
Be strong in analytical, general business practice and management skills
Able to communicate effectively on all levels and be pro-active
Fully computer literate in MS Office and CRM application
Be flexible and adaptable to the working hours requirement of this role
In possession of valid drivers license

Key Performance Areas of this position will entail but not be limited to -

Day to day management & monitoring of relevant staff in various departments to ensure high performance and consistency in adhering to the procedures and processes of the company
Assuring that service department achieves budget objective
Be the primary point of contact to customers in all areas relating to Customer Service and ensure accurate customer service through proper selling, service and support
Manage relevant staff to ensure execution of all assigned duties is met within an effective and qualitative manner
Manage and oversee any shortfall or breakdown in service in efficient and professional manner , thereby maintaining high standards through management of customer complaints
Manage all Customer repair, service, parts requirements through strong feedback prior/after service to all relevant departments, customers, manufacturers and suppliers
Maintain effective control of expenses in line with Service Department budget objectives
Manage and ensure that all clerical functions within Service Department are carried our in accordance with Company Policies (including warranty claim submissions)
Advise as required on mechanical and diagnostics problems
Drive and initiate service marketing plans in collaboration with the sales department that will ultimately promote and achieve high levels of after sales client service
Monitor workshop performance with regard to productivity levels
Provide consistent feedback and directly report into Owner

Remuneration offered -

Salary - R15000.00 per month (negotiable depending previous experience, skill qualifications etc)
Company Vehicle
Over and above Company Contribution to medical aid and provident/pension fund
Over and above Commission Structure
