Education Required:
Tertiary HR / IR Qualification
Level of Experience:
6 Years minimum experience as an IR Manager at a Manufacturing, Engineering or Construction company
Details, Skills and requirements:
Industrial Relations experience in the engineering, manufacturing or construction sectors
Knowledge and experience/ understanding in handling of labour legislation
Knowledge and experience in handling of labour disputes
Knowledge in handling of wage negotiations
Experience with CCMA/bargaining council processes
Conducting disciplinary hearings: initiation, chairing and CCMA
Experience in unionized workplace beneficial
Conflict resolution and problem solving skills
Conceptual and analytic thinking
Facilitation, writing, presentation and communication skills
Generalist HR experience beneficial.
Must be able to function independently and under pressure
Strong Leadership skills
Ability to manage confidentiality
Planning and organizing
Transformation oriented individual
Strong sense of flexibility
Strong sense of logic and developed problem solving skills a must
Must be willing to travel
Negotiation skills
Computer literacy
